....in The Re-Uptake Project at the Irondale Center, a devised theatre piece, created from personal experiences with depression - our own and that of loved ones around us. THE REUPTAKE PROJECT is out to bring greater awareness to depression and the destructive stigma around it and aims to start a new conversation about this enigmatic disorder. All proceeds of this event went to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.nami.org)
....in the Undergroundzero Festival in Exodus one of five performances in the project LONEtheater, a site-specific theater piece that recovered the link between spectator and performer. The project consisted of five performative - theatrical encounters (less than 30 minutes each) developed in five specific places in NYC and was built for one audience member at a time. Performed for only 6 days July 11,12,13, and 18,19, 20.
...performing in Duncan Pflaster's The Tragedy of Dandelion, a new play, entirely in iambic pentameter, that gives a new twist to the ol' fairy tale romance. Directed by Joan Kane, produced by Ego Actus Theatre Company @ Urban Stages with an amazing cast of ten woman playing over 25 roles. Calaine played a rogue with the most amazing beard and eyebrows (Thanks to Dianne Diep), a horny Nun with fishnet stockings and a garter, and Bobby who had nothing to say.
